The Friends of the Shasta County Libraries accepts donations at the Redding Library based on the following criteria:

Compact Discs (CD)

Digital Video Disc (DVD)

Audiobooks
-
Magazines (Not more than 1-year old)

National Magazines
Your Donated Books provide resources for the following :

Friends of the Library shelves at the Anderson Library

Little Free Libraries
-
Treasured Books with Shasta Library Foundation
Items We Don't Accept
The items below are things we do not take in as donations at the Bookstore inside the Redding Library:

Over-Sized Books (Coffee Table Book)
-
Encyclopedias
-
Medical Books
-
Real Estate Books
-
Law Books (that are more than 2-yrs old)
-
School Books
-
Video Home System Tapes (VHS)
